Introduction

Jason Wong is a Deaf dancer who specializes in strong-beat hip-hop and jazz dance. In 2010, he formed “Fun Forest Deaf Dance Crew” with a group of dancing enthusiasts with hearing impairment.

Under the sponsorship of 1st “Artists with Disability Development Fund”, Jason attended a one-year intensive training at the Broadway Dance Center in New York, to improve his dance techniques and gain a deeper understanding of hip-hop culture. After his return to Hong Kong, he became committed to promoting the “Mute Dance” in order to enable both the Deaf and the hearing to experience the fun of dance.

To promote the Hong Kong Deaf Dance culture, Jason has been actively participating in various performances and competitions, collaborating with different local and international artists such as Signmark, the renowned Finnish Deaf hip-hop artist with Singapore Deaf Dance Crew Redeafination, British Birds of Paradise Theatre Company, etc. He also went to Japan and USA Deaf Dance Festival.
